The Easter Season
April 8th, 2012 - May 26th, 2012
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of the historical Jesus
and the forty day period with his disciples after his crucifixion,
death and three days in the tomb. Many Christ-centered believers in all religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups,
seek to follow Jesus in spiritual resurrection and regeneration. They therefore see resurrection
as the raising up of the whole man soul, mind, emotions and body
into the awareness of the indwelling Christ of Faith in our spiritual
nature, after being entombed and enslaved in the mind of the flesh.
Christ-centered, spiritually awake believers in all the world religions recognize that every human being
can rise in conscious realization of this eternal indwelling Christ of Faith, the Image of God, individualized in our spiritual nature. They therefore steadfastly follow the historical Jesus in living the Paschal Mystery. Through faith, humility and obedience, these believers
make union with the same Father-Mind, the historical Jesus knew during his thirty-three
year physical life and visible ministry.
After Jesus’ resurrection, ascension and the Day of Pentecost,
the followers of the historical Jesus became remarkably different in personality and character. They
demonstrated the same inner spiritual power and authority over
sin, sickness and death Jesus had. This post-resurrection transformation
attracted others to seek the newly revealed kingdom of God,
in our midst and within us (Luke 17:20-21). They enthusiastically
continued the Christ-centered, non-violent spiritual awakening,
which John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth initiated. This
resurrection experience of Easter people has continued throughout
the centuries.
For the first 200 years many in the early church celebrated
the Easter season with renewed civility, hospitality, singing and feasting. Their
lives were filled with new freedom, new meaning, new purpose
and spiritual discernment. They developed a deep love and personal
covenant relationship with the Christ of Faith as the enduring,
indwelling Divine Presence in their spiritual nature. They sought
to anchor the kingdom of heaven within themselves, in their midst
and throughout our planet.
Today many believers seek a deep abiding union with risen Christ
of Faith as the omnipresent Spirit of God (Logos), individualized within
the spiritual nature of each and every person. This universal, risen, indwelling
Christ of Faith is anointed by the Holy Spirit to bring spiritual
vision, spiritual liberty, and spiritual healing to all. The indwelling
Christ of Faith continues to proclaim and further establish the
kingdom of God in our midst and within us (Luke 4:18-19, Luke
17:20-21).
Throughout this 2011 Easter Season let us join the spiritually
awake, Christ-centered believers in in all religions, cultures, ethnic and secular groups. Let us find creative ways to
more fully understand and share the inner spiritual meanings
of the Easter Season, the resurrection of the historical Jesus and personal
spiritual resurrection in our daily lives. Let us celebrate not only
the resurrection of Jesus 2000 years ago, but also our
awareness of the presence and activity of the risen Christ of
Faith in our midst and within each person, as Savior, Lord, Master
and sovereign King.
