Advent, Christmas, Epiphany
November 27th, 2011 - February 22nd, 2012
The Advent Season marks the beginning of the Christian church year. Advent symbolizes our God given ability to choose repentance and detachment from the mind of the flesh. Christmas re-present the believers choice to seek Christ's incarnation and further birthing of Christ consciousness. The Epiphany Season reminds us that God has promised to progressively reveal the presence, activity and glory of His kingdom in the souls, hearts, minds and affairs of mankind through the indwelling and incarnate Christ, through the spiritual body of every person.
Like Lent, Advent is the annual period of fasting from error (sin), and denying the dominion of mind of the flesh (lower nature). This fasting enables us to more effectively remove the mental barriers which have blocked the light of Christ. Repentance and turning within to Christ bring recognition, understanding and appropriation of the Christ-centered inner paths of true spiritual awakening, modeled in Jesus Christ.
Christmas is the Season of heart to heart spirit-based faith in God’s promise of incarnation through our spiritual cores. We also celebration the historical incarnation and birth of Christ [Logos] in Jesus Nazareth. We affirm the same Holy Spirit and the light, life and love of the invisible Christ of God which Jesus knew are now present and active in our spiritual bodies and in our midst.
The annual celebration of Epiphany of Jesus of Nazareth reminds Christ-centered believers that we are the evolving manifestation of light, life and love of the body of Christ. We are given the opportunity to contemplate the mystery that the Christ [Logos] has actually taken on our human flesh. By crossing out the mind of the flesh and imitating Jesus Christ we recognize that the whole family of God can be lifted us into the new life of Christ and the grace and truth of kingdom of God now in our midst and within us.
This cleansing process enables us to stop, reflect, and look within our souls, minds and hearts, and listen to our intuition. Our consciousness when decontaminated and purified by the word of Truth, become clean temples of the living God. We are then receptive to the in filling and outpouring of the Light, Love, Breath and Life of the Almighty, through the transforming Christ Impulse, Presence and Principle, within the spiritual nature of every person (John 1:9).
Through prayer, reflection, meditation, praise, thanksgiving and bible study, let us share together in the inner processes of repentance, forgiveness, incarnation and birthing of the indwelling Christ. By abiding in Christ consciousness and imitating Jesus of Nazareth our lives will become the 'lights of the world' that God originally designed us to be (Matthew 5:14).
